Uninstall

IntensiveReports keeps no data in Microsoft 365 and no database. Removing it means removing the site, its files and the access you gave it. Do the steps in this order; the names are the ones from Installation.

In IIS Manager, remove the site IntensiveReports and then the app pool IntensiveReports. Or in Windows PowerShell 5.1 as administrator:

Terminal window
Import-Module WebAdministration
Remove-Website -Name 'IntensiveReports'
Remove-WebAppPool -Name 'IntensiveReports'
Terminal window
Remove-Item 'D:\Sites\IntensiveReports', 'D:\Sites\IntensiveReports.previous' -Recurse -Force -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
Remove-Item 'C:\IntensiveReportsLogs' -Recurse -Force

This deletes appsettings.json with the client secret, App_Data and the logs.

Terminal window
Get-ChildItem Cert:\LocalMachine\My | Where-Object Subject -eq 'CN=IntensiveReports' | Remove-Item -DeleteKey
Remove-Item 'C:\Temp\IntensiveReports.cer' -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue

If you imported the certificate into the app pool identity’s own store as well, remove it there too.

In the Entra admin centre:

  1. App registrations > IntensiveReports > Delete. This removes its permissions, the Global Reader role assignment and any other role it was given, its secret and its certificate. Then delete it permanently under Deleted applications, or let Entra do that after 30 days.
  2. If you created it, delete the IntensiveReports API app registration as well (sign-in for the report API and MCP server).
  3. Remove Azure role assignments you gave the app by hand (Reader on the Tenant Root Group, Azure AI User on Foundry projects), the Power Platform management application and any Intune role assignment (extras).

5. Remove the PowerShell modules (optional)

Section titled “5. Remove the PowerShell modules (optional)”

Only if nothing else on the server uses them. In PowerShell 7 as administrator:

Terminal window
'ExchangeOnlineManagement', 'PnP.PowerShell', 'MicrosoftTeams' | ForEach-Object { Uninstall-Module $_ -AllVersions -Force }
Get-InstalledModule Microsoft.Graph* | Uninstall-Module -AllVersions -Force

The ASP.NET Core Hosting Bundle, PowerShell 7 and the IIS features can stay or be removed like any other Windows component.

  • Delete API tokens and scripts on the computers that called the report API.
  • Remove the IntensiveReports connector from AI assistants that used the MCP server.
  • Remove the DNS name and firewall rules you created for the site.
