The question it answers: Which distribution lists exist, with which primary address and how many direct members?

Note

Only groups of type MailUniversalDistributionGroup are listed (mail-enabled security groups are not). Member Count = direct members from Get-DistributionGroupMember -ResultSize Unlimited (nested groups count as one member), one call per group.

GET /ir-api/v1/reports/exchange.groups.distribution?size=100

An AI assistant reads it with the MCP tool get_report and the id exchange.groups.distribution. The client needs the Read grant for Exchange Online. See Using the API.
